The Inspiration of Embraceables… The inspiration of Embraceables came ten years ago when a friend’s mother died. The essence of Laurie’s mother was wrapped up in an old fox coat. That coat was the first item her mother had bought upon starting her teaching career. She had kept it all of her life. Laurie shared the tale of the Fox Coat. She had taken it to furrier after furrier trying to have something salvaged out of it – something from her mother. Something she could hold onto…

I took that old fox coat and made Teddy Bears out of it. For Laurie, for her daughters and for a cousin who had been very close to Laurie’s mom and Laurie. Memories to hold onto…

The Beginning of Embraceables…

Then two years ago a good friend died. He had a wife, five sons, two grandsons and a great collection of ties. His wife just didn’t want to let go of those ties. They were the essence of Bob.

Pillows size complete is apx. 15” x 15”. Yes other sizes are available on special quote.

Pillows are feather and down filled – to hold their shape for years. We can provide fiber fill at your request.

We use 100% silk for the casing, exclusive of ornamentation. Your memory items are lovingly attached and the pillow then completed.

We do not recommend cleaning –should you need cleaning, our suggestion would be to consult with your dry cleaners, but can make no guarantees, as we cannot control the attachments.

Your items will be handled with the same special care that you have given them. We will use them in the same manner as you send them. We have no idea of that spot on Dad’s tie is part of the Memory – or just a spot.

Shipping will be within 4 weeks of receipt of your items. We suggest that you use some type of registered method for shipping – Registered mail, UPS, Fed Ex etc. The items are traceable should they get lost in the system.
